Gisenosides are the active ingredients of Ginseng, and more than 70% of ginsenosides are dammarane saponins, the latter can be metabolized into dammarane sapogenins (protopanaxadiol / PPD and protopanaxatriol / PPT).
More than 60 dammarane saponins are structurally characterized in ginseng, the majority of which Rg1, Rb1 and Rh2.
